Prime Data Centers Selects CPG as Owner's Representative
Building our Sacramento and Santa Clara data center facilities
Prime Data Centers is pleased to partner with CPG as the Owner’s Representative for our Santa Clara and Sacramento properties. In this role, CPG will ensure the construction process is as efficient as possible.
For nearly 20 years, CPG has been a pioneer in the data center industry, providing full lifecycle mission-critical infrastructure solutions to some of the world’s most demanding Fortune 1000 companies.
At the Prime Data Centers campus located at McClellan Park, Sacramento, CPG will be responsible for managing the build-out of an additional 2MW in Building 1. Today, the facility boasts 6MW of brand-new N+1 critical capacity. This additional 33% capacity upgrade prepares Prime to manage the IT workload of large enterprises.

Prime’s McClellan Park campus will eventually support approximately 100MW of critical capacity. With a dedicated on-site substation, Prime is positioned to host even large hyperscale tenants.
At our four-story, 9MW Santa Clara site, CPG will be managing the demolition and new construction process. This facility, located at 1111 Comstock Street in Santa Clara, will bring much-needed capacity to the supply-constrained Silicon Valley.

Jeff Ivey, CPG’s VP of Strategic Development will be leading all phases of the construction for Prime Data Centers. Although this is the first formal engagement between CPG and Prime, CPG has managed new construction, modular designs, and Tenant Fit Outs for some of the world’s largest companies. Ivey says, “CPG is excited to begin this owner’s representative relationship with Prime Data Centers as we get both the Sacramento and the Santa Clara data center sites fully operational.”
Jeff Barber, EVP of Business Development for Prime says, “We are pleased to be working with CPG on two of our most critical projects. Continued expansion in Sacramento and a net-new facility in the heart of Silicon Valley are important to our global expansion in 2021.”
